Meet Our Director
Beam Learning was founded by Christina Scenna M.Ed, BCBA.Before establishing Beam Learning, Christina served special education classrooms throughout western Pennsylvania as an Educational Consultant with the Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network (PaTTAN) Autism Initiative. Christina has acquired nearly two decades of diverse experience serving learners with autism and intellectual disabilities. She has done so in clinical, school, home, group home, and supported employment settings in both West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
Christina has presented at national and international conferences including ABAI and the National Autism Conference on topics related to verbal behavior, academic interventions, social skills instruction, collaboration with families, and legal issues in special education. She has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in behavior analytic interventions for learners with intellectual/developmental disabilities, verbal behavior, effective instruction, and classroom management at the University of Pittsburgh. Christina earned her bachelor’s degree from Marshall University and her master’s degree at the University of Pittsburgh where she is presently pursuing a PhD in Special Education.
